DSD Receiving Manager can significantly reduce errors while offering you control over the products placed on the sales floor. You authorize items for delivery. When product arrives, receiving scans the deliveries and verifies the items and quantities. The system accepts only those items that were authorized.
When several vendors arrive at the backdoor, receiving can process deliveries quickly and efficiently. The DSD Receiving Manager allows the receiver to “suspend” an unlimited number of vendor deliveries without losing data already entered. This is particularly useful in instances where a vendor needs time to bring returns off the sales floor. The receiver can suspend any delivery and move on to the next vendor. Later, simply scanning any bar code from the suspended vendor will reactivate the suspended order. With Droste’s Event Table, receivers no longer need to stop for batch files or backups. The office sets a schedule ahead of time and these processes run automatically, allowing receiving to focus on vendor deliveries without distraction.
Data captured at the backdoor is shared with every appropriate system for streamlined processing and accurate accounting — a hallmark of Droste software. Once product is scanned, every invoice is extended at cost and retail, and the need for Accounts Payable to enter invoice data is eliminated. In addition, the office can import and export maintenance information for office communications and system backup.
The FM handheld interacts in real time with the backdoor PC, enabling both to be utilized simultaneously. Use the PC without turning off the handheld to compare and verify items instantly and to manipulate and completely view the data.
