With Droste’s PCScale Manager you can easily and accurately maintain scale information for all of your scales and stores in one place. Flexible Item Maintenance

PCScale Manager contains a complete item maintenance system. Full item detail is maintained on the Item screen. Sale and Pending change information is entered on streamlined screens to speed data entry. And pending changes can be entered immediately and held in suspense until their effective date. PC Scale Manager simplifies maintenance batch generation through user prompts that are tied to your sales cycle dates and through automatically generated “sale offs” based on sale effective dates. You can even import data from ASCII files created on another host system.

Accurate Pricing and Reporting

Managing scale pricing from a central host offers you added control over pricing and gross profit margins. Droste Item File Manager customers reap the added benefit of a seamless interface between our POS and Scale Host systems because scale item updates can be posted directly from the Item File Manager to the PCScale Manager. Pre-transmission reporting allows all planned scale updates to be verified before they are sent, helping you to identify mistakes before they happen. PCScale Manager can even pull back production totals from scales having that capability for office review.

Update Scales Efficiently

Whether you communicate to your scales directly from the main office or through PCs at each store, PCScale Manager simplifies the process. Transmissions to the scales can be immediate or scheduled for a future date and time. For added reliability, PCScale Manager can run at both the office and on PCs at each store. Under this approach, maintenance is delivered electronically to the stores in advance of the transmission date, and the failure of any single PC does not adversely affect the chain.

PCScale Manager also allows you to target a specific scale or group of scales for update should a retransmission be required because the scale was off at the time the general update took place. Full logging of scale communications allows you to easily verify that transmissions took place or to pinpoint a problem scale. You can even configure the system to page your personnel if transmission problems are encountered.
