PRICING RULES

Droste's Pricing Rules will update, and maintain prices on all items in each store or zone. This module provides you with the ability to apply a variety of pricing strategies to different sets of items while simultaneously speeding up your retail pricing process.

Variety is the Spice of Life

Droste’s Pricing Rules module offers you the flexibility to automatically apply different sets of rules to different groups of items and to efficiently change those rules to meet marketplace demands. Rules can be defined at every level including item, vendor, commodity, department, and store. And multiple rules can be applied at each level, with the item rule always maintaining first priority. You can set a variety of parameters with high and low thresholds that:

• Round prices in specified increments or to specified amounts.

• Maintain a fixed gross profit.

• Maintain a fixed gross margin.

• Apply a specified dollar amount over cost.

• Apply a specified percentage over cost.

• Apply Temporary Price Reduction (TPR) if the allowance is a specified percentage of base cost.

• Pass on a percentage of the allowance into the TPR price.

• Match or fall below your competition.

Auto-pricing UPCs

Informed efficiency – this is a key benefit of Droste’s Pricing Rules module. You simply select items to price and define their rules. The system applies the rules and displays suggested pricing with a comparison of old and new prices and gross profit changes. You have the ability to review each item and to either auto-accept all prices at once or to accept or decline each item individually. The system then posts all accepted UPC pricing changes to Droste’s Item File Manager.

Vendor EDI

The auto-pricing feature extends to vendor EDI. Droste’s Pricing Rules module allows you to react immediately to vendor EDI changes as they occur. Rather than manually making pricing decisions on each changed item, you can use the system to apply regular and TPR/sale pricing rules to vendor EDI changes. You then review, accept and post those changes automatically.

Spot-Check Your Pricing

With tens of thousands of items on your store shelves, manually maintaining the integrity of your pricing and enforcing marketing or merchandising strategies can be an unmanageable task. Using Droste’s Pricing Rules, you can periodically review and fix pricing discrepancies quickly and efficiently. Simply choose a group of items and Pricing Rules will display problem prices, suggest corrected prices, and post all accepted changes to the Item File Manager for you. You can also conduct “what-if ” scenarios on items and groups of items to see how certain changes would affect your gross profit, profit margin, and general pricing strategies.
